By accessing or using the Amongstfriends Association (AFA) website located at www.amongstfriendsassociation.org, or by participating in any AFA program, event, or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
AFA reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. The most current version will always be posted on our website.

Terms & Conditions 

Permitted Use
You may use the AFA website for lawful purposes only, including learning about our programs, making donations, volunteering, and accessing publicly available information about our organization and mission.


Prohibited Use
You agree NOT to:
•    Use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
•    Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the website or its related systems
•    Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional material, or spam
•    Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or resell any portion of the website without express written permission from AFA
•    Impersonate AFA, its staff, board members, or volunteers
•    Post or transmit any content that is defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable
•    Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits any other person's use or enjoyment of the website


INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on the AFA website — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, photographs, program descriptions, mission statements, press releases, and organizational materials — is the property of Amongstfriends Association and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise use any AFA content without prior written permission from an authorized AFA representative. Requests for permission may be directed to: poetcardea@amongstfriendsassociation.org.


DONATIONS & FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS
All donations made through the AFA website are voluntary and non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law. AFA is committed to using all donated funds exclusively in furtherance of its charitable mission. Donation receipts will be provided as required by law for tax deduction purposes.
AFA does not sell, trade, or share donor financial information with any third party except as required to process transactions or comply with legal obligations. All financial transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment systems.
AFA's 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status is pending IRS recognition. Donors are encouraged to consult a qualified tax advisor regarding the deductibility of contributions.


VOLUNTEER & PROGRAM PARTICIPATION
Participation in AFA programs and volunteer activities is subject to applicable program guidelines, volunteer agreements, and applicable law. AFA reserves the right to refuse service or volunteer participation to any individual at its sole discretion, consistent with applicable law and AFA's non-discrimination policy.
Volunteers and program participants agree to follow all AFA safety protocols, code of conduct requirements, and program-specific guidelines as communicated by AFA staff.


DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE AFA WEBSITE AND ALL CONTENT, PROGRAMS, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AFA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.


LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Amongstfriends Association, its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website, participation in AFA programs, or reliance on any AFA content or services.


INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Amongstfriends Association and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the website, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.


GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

Amongstfriends Association is a nonprofit corporation incorporated in the State of North Carolina (SOSID: 0575931), operating principally in Los Angeles County, California. AFA is organized exclusively for charitable purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. 
AFA's mission is to provide community development, direct poverty relief, and human dignity restoration services to homeless and under resourced individuals and families in Los Angeles County through four core programs: I Got Your Back, Angel Bread, Amongst Friends, and SHOWER — as well as our founding Youth Arts, Music & Education Initiative.
